VOLUNTEER YOUR SKILLS & GIVE FEEDBACK
Our club can only get better if the community feels free to share their insights, ideas for improvement and their skills in taking opportunities as they come up! This page right here is where that all starts
ARE YOU A LEGEND AT ANY OF THESE?
Can you spare a couple of hours a week to inject your flair on our club?
Social Events
Passionate, driven and exciting people who love to see others enjoying themselves. The perfect hosts
We've always been proud of our community here at Western, and we're making a big effort this year to get something social in the calendar for everyone. James Pollock (our Social Committee Manager) would love some help organising and delivering these events. So if you're the kind of person who loves to deliver something awesome for their friends, this will be right up your alley!
This would include things like:
- working with James and the other volunteers to come up with ideas for awesome events the club can hold, that are inclusive for all our members
- helping out at an event or two to make sure it runs smoothly. This could be running the bar, building a quiz, MCing an event, setting up or anything in-between
- reaching out to and encouraging participation from our community, especially those who might not feel as included as others yet
If this sounds like something you can spend a couple of hours a week on, please reach out to us right now. EXCITEMENT AWAITS!
Sponsorship
Someone who's easy to talk to, amicable and enthusiastic
We're looking for people who know people and people who are happy to reach out and tell our club's story, its goals and its values to prospective businesses or individuals who'd benefit from and be willing to support community sport and the players within. We want to be better. To help remove any barriers to playing hockey at Western and especially for those players who want to make hockey their life - taking their passion as far as possible.
This includes things like:
- reaching out to businesses to raise money for our players and club
- using your current or supplied networks to find businesses or individuals who'll be a great match for Western and vice-versa
- working with us (the committee) to find deliverables that businesses or individuals might want that will benefit them
- find win-win relationships that ensure we can build trust and partenerships with businesses to sustain the growth of Western while supporting the business in the process
If this sounds like something you can spend a couple of hours a week on, please reach out to us right now. YOU CAN DO IT! Thank you
