Training times
Winter season team trainings are generally held at Avondale College, Ken Maunder Park training shed (juniors only), and on the odd occasion, a senior or youth team may be rostered to the Waitakere turf. Each team trains typically once per week, however, some senior teams train twice. Training is held in the evenings and updated times are available below The current schedule for Ken Maunder Park Training Shed can be viewed here. Code of Conduct
Western are proud to play, fierce, passionate hockey. However, there are limits to what we will find acceptable for the safety and enjoyment of Western members and visitors to our club. Please read the Western Code of Conduct to understand the expectations for the community we have built!
FEES
As always, we try and offset as much of the fees as possible!
The fees you pay go almost exclusively to Auckland Hockey for their management and running of the competitions, supply of umpires and the rental of turf time on game day. A little more is collected to cover any turf time for trainings that we can't get funding for.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Credit Card via ClubHub
The majority of players choose to pay on registration via ClubHub. This payment option is available for the duration of the season, however, there are no-pay no-play and late fee penalties for those who miss Auckland Hockey's set deadlines
Internet Banking/Bank Transfer
We accept Bank Transfers for players who prefer this method When making a payment this way, ensure you've put "CH-00******" in the Particulars Field. The "******" is your 6 digit account number assigned by ClubHub and can be found when you log into ClubHub to make a payment Account Details: Western Districts Hockey Club Inc. BNZ 02-0184-0074740-00
Automatic Payment
Finally, if you prefer an Automatic Payment, this is an option we offer on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your Club Captains for details on how you can qualify for an Automatic Payment and the process required
PAYMENT POLICIES
Auckland Hockey deadlines
Auckland Hockey set us deadlines for payments and as such, we need to ensure we've collected the required funds to pay those fees. These are why our no-pay no-play and late fees exist. Please ensure you've made plans for your fees so we can pass those on for you
Full Fees Due ASAP
For those unable to pay up-front, please remember that there is an Automatic Payment option for members in good standing. If you would prefer this, please contact your Club Captains to come up with a plan A $25 late fee for Juniors or $50 for Youth and older will apply if you have not paid by mid-May or set up an Automatic Payment
No-Pay No-Play Policy
We will be enforcing a No-Pay, No-Play policy from the first game of the season. This means, if you haven't paid your fees or arranged an Automatic Payment, you will need to refrain from playing until arrangements have been made. This is in line with Auckland Hockey's deadline structure
